- Account: A unique account created for You to access our Service via institutional authentication.
- Application: Refers to ApplyQ, the software program provided by the Developer.
- Personal Data: Any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual, including academic identifiers.
- Device Identifiers: Unique identifiers such as Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens used for notification delivery.
2. Authentication and Domain Integrity
To prevent deceptive activity and maintain a verified student ecosystem, ApplyQ strictly restricts registration to students with valid institutional email addresses. Registration is limited to the following domains: aec, acoe, acet, and aus.
Authentication is managed through secure cloud-based authentication layers (Firebase Auth) to verify credentials without exposing user passwords to unauthorized parties.
3. Comprehensive Data Collection
We collect the following personal, academic, and technical data required to facilitate placement services:
- Identity & Contact: Full Name, Gender, Mobile Number, Personal Email ID, and College Email ID.
- Academic Record: Roll Number, College Name, Branch, Year of Passing, 10th/12th Percentages, CGPA, and Active Backlogs.
- Device Identifiers: We collect Device or other IDs (FCM Registration Tokens) specifically for Developer Communications (Push Notifications).
4. Use and Sharing of Your Data
The Company uses Your Personal Data for the following specific purposes:
- Job Matching & Functionality: To match Your profile (Technical Skills) with relevant opportunities and display current job listings.
- User-Initiated Sharing (Quick Apply): When you explicitly click "Quick Apply," your Name, Email, Roll Number, and CGPA are shared with a Third-Party Recruiter or Institution via a pre-filled Google Form URL. This sharing is essential for "App Functionality" and "Fraud Prevention" as it allows the recruiter to verify your identity.
- Targeted Notifications: Using Firebase Cloud Messaging, we deliver alerts regarding new on-campus and off-campus job postings.
5. Third-Party Services, Analytics & Diagnostics
To improve our user experience and monitor app health, ApplyQ utilizes Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. This helps us track:
- Feature Interaction: Which modules (e.g., on-campus, off-campus updates) are accessed most frequently.
- App Performance: Device model, OS version, and automatic Crash Logs to identify and fix technical stability issues.
- Retention: How often users return to the app to check for new job postings.
This data is aggregated and anonymized. It is used solely for "Analytics" and "App Functionality" purposes and is not used to identify individual users for marketing.
6. Security and Data Protection
- Authorized Access: We implement strict server-side authorization to ensure that student data is only accessible to the account owner. Every request is verified for authenticity before data is released.
- Encryption in Transit: All personal and academic information is encrypted using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS) during transmission and storage.
- Session Security: To protect Your account from unauthorized access, ApplyQ permits only one active session at a time. Logging into a new device will automatically end the previous session.
- No Unauthorized Sharing: Outside of the user-initiated "Quick Apply" process described in Section 4, we do not share or sell your personal data to any third-party marketers.
7. User Rights and Data Management
A. Right to Rectification (Academic Updates)
Users have the right to update their academic records timely through the "Profile Edit" section to ensure eligibility for current job drives.
B. Right to Erasure (Account Deletion)
In compliance with Google Play's data deletion requirements, users may delete their account and all associated Personal Data instantly via the Profile settings. You may also request deletion via our dedicated portal:

8. Transparency and External Links
ApplyQ acts as a job aggregator and does not guarantee employment. Off-campus listings redirect to third-party portals. Once You leave the Application, You are subject to the privacy policies of those external websites.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Service is intended for university students and does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If discovered, such data is immediately removed.
